"Unique, entertaining, and a 'must' for anyone and everyone

who has, or has had, a canine companion."

- Midwest Book Review

Rescued from living on the road, Samson, my neurotic Beagle mutt with a super sensitive schnoz, has plenty to say about life with me and his other pet parent.

Samson can’t resist reminiscing about his experiences in our household once he is joined by Alfie, his Golden Retriever pal, in the hereafter. Together the two dogs traverse a foggy landscape propelled by Samson’s intense desire to return home. Alfie has a different quest in mind and asks his buddy for help.

Samson: Memories of a Found Hound is a story of hope and determination for readers dealing with the loss of a pet.

In addition to the canine conversation, I offer personal comments and photographs.

"A well-written memoir. Honest and witty, inspirational. "

- National Federation of Press  Women

Who chose to move from the balmy Virgin Islands to the frozen tundra of the Midwest? I did.

I write about that decision and more in my memoir. In frank, short, self-effacing essays; lists; fake news reports; and verse, I describe how I use laughter to deal with the certainty of uncertainty of illness and aging.

Read Life Continues: Facing the Challenges of MS, Menopause and Midlife with Hope, Courage and Humor and, hopefully, you will be inspired by my ability to resuscitate, and rely on, my warped sense of humor when times get tough.
